The Company:This brilliant Hospitality Group manage and run a range of venues and hotels across Australia. With a strong focus on coordinating and delivering world-class events for clients, they are looking for a Wedding & Events Coordinator to join their team in one of their most well-known venues in Victoria.
Position Terms: - Permanent, full-time role
- Working full-time in the office/venue
- Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 plus super
The Role:
The Wedding & Events Coordinator is responsible for coordinating weddings and events by ensuring their smooth and successful execution through planning, organising, and managing the hotel event spaces and all associated events.
Key Responsibilities include;
- Understanding and identifying the requirements for each event
- Researching vendors such as caterers, decorators, and musicians, and selecting the best combination of quality and cost
- Overseeing and managing all event operations
- Overseeing issues that may come up at events and acting quickly to resolve problems
- Analysing and evaluating an event’s success and submitting reports
- Interacting and negotiating with vendors in order to achieve the most favourable terms
- Planning events while paying particular attention to time and budget
- Publicising and marketing hotel event properties or spaces to get them booked in consultation and collaboration with the marketing team.
- Running final tests on the day of the event to ensure that everything meets standards and ensure timely activities
- Interacting and keeping healthy communication and interactions with clients and vendors
- Working with clients to guide them through event details and serving as their personal coordinator throughout the entire planning process and the event.
- Processing customer details and reporting in a timely manner
- Completing and processing invoices correctly and in a timely manner into the relevant tools and systems
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will have previous experience coordinating weddings within the events, hospitality and/or venue sectors. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role.
- Experience using Ivvy is essential.
- Strong customer liaison skills
- Strong administration and reporting capabilities are required
- Sound demonstrated abilities in build relationships.
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills,
- Time management abilities
- Sound computer and software skills including Microsoft office suite and CRM databases
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to work from the office/venue full-time.
