The Company:This stunning venue located in regional New South Wales is known for hosting picturesque weddings and social events. With accommodation and a popular local restaurant on the grounds as well, they are looking for a Wedding & Events Coordinator to join their team to lead the coordination of events as well as manage bookings and events in the restaurant.
Position Terms: - Full-Time Permanent Role
- Working Full-Time at the Venue, located in Mudgee.
- Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 plus super
The Role:
The Wedding & Events Coordinator will report into the General Manager and will be responsible for leading the coordination and delivery of weddings. The role will also be responsible for managing bookings, reservations and social events for the restaurant.
Key Responsibilities include;
- Oversee the planning and execution of weddings, corporate events, and private functions, ensuring each event runs smoothly from start to finish.
- Lead, motivate, and train a team of event staff to provide high-quality service and maintain a positive workplace culture.
- Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely and effective deliveries and services.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met, questions are answered, and expectations exceeded.
- Ensure all events comply with health and safety regulations, including RSA guidelines, and oversee guest safety during events.
- Manage event set-up and pack-down.
- Responsible for managing restaurant reservations, ensuring timely, accurate communication.
- Responsible for the coordination of all group bookings and private events held in the restaurant.
- Oversee opening and closing procedures for the restaurant, manage venue presentation and ensure menus are service-ready.
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will have strong hospitality experience with an understanding of coordinating event logistics. Experience delivering events on-site and leading event teams is essential.
- A hands-on leader with the ability to train and inspire teams.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional client and supplier management skills, with the ability to develop and maintain strong long-lasting relationships.
- Experience coordinating weddings and events.
- Experience managing and/or supervising daily restaurant operations is highly desirable.
- Ability to work at the Venue full-time, located in Mudgee.
- Ability to work outside of normal business hours.
