Providing technical production and event solutions across weddings, private celebrations and corporate events, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves working with clients, understands event production and enjoys turning an initial enquiry into a successful event.

Position Terms:
  • Full-Time Permanent Role
  • Sydney, NSW
  • Working across premium event venues
  • Salary: $110,000 - $120,000 plus super
The Role:

The Venue Manager will be responsible for managing wedding and event enquiries from initial contact through to quoting, conversion and event delivery.
This is a client-facing and commercially focused role that combines venue sales with production management. You will work closely with couples, wedding planners and event clients to understand their vision and recommend the right production solutions across audio, lighting, vision, staging and other event requirements. From conducting site visits and preparing proposals through to briefing the production team and ensuring each event is ready for delivery, you will play an important role in creating a seamless client experience. The role will suit someone who understands events and production but also enjoys the sales side of the industry, building relationships, converting opportunities and maximising the value of each event.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Manage wedding, private event and corporate event enquiries across allocated venues.
  • Build strong relationships with couples, wedding planners, event organisers and venue stakeholders.
  • Conduct client meetings and site inspections to understand event requirements.
  • Work with clients to develop production solutions that complement their event vision.
  • Prepare accurate and commercially competitive quotes following briefs and site visits.
  • Proactively follow up enquiries and sales opportunities to maximise conversion.
  • Manage the venue sales pipeline and maintain accurate information across internal systems.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell additional production services across audio, lighting, vision, staging and event enhancements.
  • Provide clients with recommendations and guidance around technical and production requirements.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients throughout the planning process.
  • Develop detailed event briefs and ensure all production requirements are clearly documented.
  • Maintain accurate job financials and ensure changes, additions and event extras are captured.
  • Work closely with the Venue Operations team to ensure events are appropriately resourced and delivered.
  • Coordinate with production teams regarding equipment, crew, logistics and event schedules.
  • Ensure event information is handed over accurately and within required deadlines.
  • Manage last-minute changes and additional client requirements in the lead-up to events.
  • Build strong relationships with venue teams and contribute to the ongoing growth of venue business.
  • Deliver a high level of customer service from initial enquiry through to event completion.
The Candidate:

The successful candidate will have experience within events, weddings, venues, AV production or event sales and will be confident managing clients throughout the event planning process. You will have a strong commercial mindset and enjoy converting enquiries into confirmed business, while also understanding the importance of delivering an exceptional experience for every client. A technical production background would be highly regarded, particularly someone who understands how audio, lighting, vision and staging come together to create an outstanding wedding or event.

The successful candidate will also have:
  • Previous experience in venue management, event sales, wedding events or production management.
  • A strong understanding of weddings and private event delivery.
  • Experience managing client enquiries and converting sales opportunities.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.

  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to event profitability.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple enquiries and events simultaneously.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong stakeholder and venue relationship management skills.
  • The ability to work closely with technical and operational teams.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused and customer-first approach.
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet event deadlines.
  • A genuine passion for weddings, events and creating memorable experiences.
