The Company:

A leading National Association with offices in each state and territory in Australia are looking for a Senior Events Administrator to join their team in Melbourne. With over 500 staff Nationally, this Association are the leading body for their Industry and represent over 150,000 members.

Position Terms:
  • Permanent, Full-Time Role
  • Working 2 days in the office (Tues & Thurs)
  • Salary: $95,000 - $105,000 plus super
The Role:

The Senior Events Administrator is responsible for the end-to-end setup and delivery of event registration platforms for the Association's events portfolio. Translating event requirements into high-quality system builds across a diverse events portfolio, the Senior Events Administrator will oversee the end‑to‑end event build lifecycle to ensure accuracy, reliability and consistency.

Key Responsibilities include;
  • Supporting a high‑volume events pipeline, supporting events coming from multiple areas across the business.
  • Overseeing and supporting complex event builds in Cvent, ensuring they are accurate, consistent and fit for purpose.
  • Working closely with event owners to clarify requirements, challenge assumptions, and find workable solutions within system constraints.
  • Leading and supporting a small team of Events Coordinators & Administrators through day‑to‑day guidance, quality oversight and capability development.
  • Acting as an escalation point for system or delivery issues, coordinating with Technology teams and vendors to resolve them.
  • Balancing competing priorities and deadlines while protecting system integrity and delivery quality.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve how events are requested, built and delivered.
The Candidate:

The successful candidate will bring strong, hands-on experience  administering and configuring events in Event Management Systems, and are comfortable working in a complex, high‑volume delivery environment.
  • Proven experience translating event and business requirements into robust, fit‑for‑purpose system configurations.
  • High attention to detail, with confidence testing, validating and troubleshooting event builds and system changes.
  • Experience improving systems or operational processes in practical, sustainable ways.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders to clarify requirements, manage expectations, and explain system constraints or decisions clearly.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining system integrity and delivery quality.
  • Strong leadership capability, with experience guiding and supporting a small team providing day‑to‑day direction, quality oversight and mentoring, and acting as a trusted escalation point when needed.
