The Company:
This leading national membership association dedicated to the development, growth and prosperity of their members and industry. With a diverse membership base and a commitment to fostering connections and knowledge-sharing within the industry, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Events Manager to join their team.
Position Terms:
- Full-Time Permanent Role, hybrid working
- Salary: $105,000 - $115,000 plus super depending on experience
The Role:
As the Senior Events Manager, you will play a pivotal role in conceptualising, planning, and executing events that serve to engage and empower members. From conferences and seminars to networking receptions and virtual events, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless delivery of exceptional experiences that align with the association's mission and objectives.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Onsite operational management of events including delegates, speakers, VIPs, committees, exhibitors, sponsors and multiple suppliers
- Experience and understnading of the meeting and events industry with the ability to think outside the box
- Sponsorship procurement and ensuring the Association meets sponsorship engagement amounts for each event
- Exhibition procurement and ensuring the Association meets the exhibitor requirements for each event
- Stakeholder liaison and handling all stakeholder briefings
- Working knowledge of event management software, preferably EventsAIR
- Budget management and forecasts
- Delivery of all events from end to end from major conferences to networking and other events
- Key stakeholder communications management
- Identifying and securing speakers for the events
- Producing timelines, run sheets, contracts etc
- Managing suppliers and ensuring all contracts are in place
- Full logistics and operations management
- Oversee all risk management and OH&S compliance at events
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have experience working within a Membership Association as an Event Manager or Senior Event Manager. Sensational communication skills and adaptability is highly desired as this role will require the person to be able to be confident enough to speak with high level sponsors and stakeholders.
- Experience managing end to end conferences
- Sponsorship and Exhibition management experience is highly desired
- High level skills within EventsAIR preferred, events systems experience essential
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Confidence in presenting and ability to talk with senior government departments
- Understanding of technical requirements of events
- Be highly motivated and results driven with exceptional organisational skills
- Excellent presentation and time management skills
- Energetic, enthusiastic, innovative, inspiring and results driven
- Be proactive and able to make decisions
- Sound budget management experience
- Sound judgement and decision making
