An exhibition and conference organiser based in Sydney are looking for a great new team member to join their Conference Production team. The company puts together sensational conferences, exhibitions and summits as well as professional training programs and have a great core well established team. 

Position Terms:
  • Full-Time Permanent Role
  • Working 5 days in the office
  • Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 plus super plus bonus
The Role:

The Senior Conference Producer will lead the development of compelling conference programs grounded in robust industry research and stakeholder insight. This role will be responsible in researching and being up to spend with industry trends to develop the best conferences that leaders in the space want to attend. 

Key responsibilities will include: 
  • Develop high value, commercially viable conference agendas informed by in depth industry research
  • Identify relevant speakers and put together a potential speaker list
  • Prepare briefs/meetings with relevant departments
  • End to end project management of your events from concept to delivery
  • Secure speakers identified as thought leaders in their industry through research conducted
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders
  • Liaise with sales and marketing teams to provide direction for sales and marketing objectives to be achieved
  • Liaise with the operations team to ensure all logistical aspects relating to speakers are satisfied
  • Manage agenda changes and filling any gaps from speaker drop-offs in a timely manner
  • Creatively identify gaps in the market and conceptualise conference content and create new conferences with the operations team
  • Run the conference onsite; including ensuring speakers turn up on time for their presentations, ensure sessions run on time, ensure all Chairs and Speakers are briefed, etc.
  • Analyse audience and event performance data to inform future strategies
The Candidate:

The successful candidate will have experience working as a conference producer with strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking skills. Strong research and analytical skills are essential.
  • Ability to identify emerging trends and opportunities across sectors.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines independently.
  • Confident stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills.
  • Proven experience in developing high value, commercially viable conference agendas.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work from the office 5 days a week.
