The Company:

This Hospitality Group is a power house in the Australian Hospitality space. The amazing team plans and executes a range of corporate and social events, tailored to the clients needs with precision. They own and operate within multiple venues across Sydney, and they are looking for a Corporate Events Sales Manager to join their team.

Position Terms:
  • Full-Time, Permanent Role
  • Working Full-Time in the Head Office
  • Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 plus super plus bonus
  • Occasional work outside of normal business hours for events is required.
The Role:

The Sales Manager will report to the Head of Corporate Events Sales and will be responsible for converting corporate event sales from leads; from initial contact to proposal, negotiation through to the coordination handover. The Sales Manager will establish and maintain strong relationships with new and regular clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities include;
  • Managing the venues sales pipeline, and work to achieve agreed goals and objectives set each month.
  • Attend to corporate sales enquiry from new and regular customers. This may be phone, email, personal site visits and possible offsite visits where applicable.
  • Follow up all enquiries with information/quotation within the same day of the enquiry.
  • Show prospective clients through the venue when required and respond to client needs upon their visits to the venue leading up to the event.
  • Assignment of new business via warm and cold calling projects.
  • Meet and greet client at the actual event and attendance with support of Events team.
  • Manage event bookings through CRM including invoicing for the event.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date booking diary for inquiries, tentative and confirmed bookings.
  • Maintaining accounts receivables in compliance with objectives, and obtain payment from clients, including checking individual invoices and correct invoice breakdowns.
  • Assist with the preparation of up-to-date promotional material, packages and brochures.
  • Work closely with the Events team to bring together the finer details of the client's special day.
  • Maintain strong relationships and communication with the Operations and Kitchen to ensure all bookings fit with company capacity/policy.
The Candidate:

The successful candidate will have previous experience working within a Venue or Hospitality Group in a Sales Coordinator or Sales Manager role, ideally with experience selling corporate events. Exceptional communication and organisational skills are essential for this role.
  • Proven record of meeting sales targets within the hospitality and events industry.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Strong sales techniques and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Exceptional time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, and a working knowledge of using CRM software.
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours for events when required.
