.The Company:
This fabulous Association has over 4,000 members across Australia, and produces several publications, develops resources, and conducts conferences, exhibitions, seminars and other events to support their industry. They are looking for a Relationship & Partnership Manager to join their team.
Position Terms:
- Full-time, Permanent Role
- Fully remote working, but occasional travel for client meetings events will be required
- $75,000 - $85,000 plus super
The Role:
Working closely with the CEO and Event Manager, this hands-on management role will lead key relationship-building initiatives with external stakeholders, including sponsors, exhibitors, and members. The primary purpose of the position is to drive engagement and growth across sponsorship, membership, and exhibition programs in alignment with the associations strategic plan.
Key Responsibilities include;
- Secure all key sponsorship opportunities for our annual conferences across various states.
- Manage sponsorship lifecycle: advertising, appointment, invoicing, payment follow-up, and relationship management.
- Drive membership growth and retention nationally across existing and new industries.
- Actively engage Members through outreach, events, and relationship-building initiatives to increase satisfaction and participation.
- Maintain accurate sponsorship details in event manuals and exhibitor info packs, including logos and branding.
- Run Advisory Committee and Group meetings.
- Ensuring exhibitions are consistently full and growing year-on-year by building strong exhibitor relationships and delivering exceptional event experiences.
- Oversee end-to-end exhibitor management: advertising, allocations, payments, inductions, OHS compliance, bump-in/out, and onsite support.
- Design and maintain exhibition floor plans in EventsAir, ensuring accurate sponsor/exhibitor placement.
- Manage event components relating to exhibitors, including the facilitating on-site exhibitor inductions, and acting as host for the Exhibitors’ Dinner, including presentations and awards.
- Develop and manage annual budgets.
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will have proven experience in sponsorship, membership, and exhibition management within an association environment. Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills are essential for this role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in accounting and invoicing software.
- Effective management of multiple projects, skilled at handling concurrent partnership negotiations, client onboarding, and reporting tasks.
- Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, finance, and events to deliver partnership strategies and achieve shared objectives.
- Strong exhibitor management skills.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work fully remotely but with the ability travel domestically for client meetings and events when required.
