The Company:

This Company is one of Australia's leading event suppliers. They provide world-class event and exhibition solutions for an incredibly diverse range of clients. They place a strong emphasis on client service, creative design, and quality, and are looking for a new Production Manager to join their Sydney team.

Position Terms:
  • Full-time permanent role
  • Working 5 days a week in the office
  • Salary: $120,000 - $130,000 plus super
  • Prior experience working on custom stand projects in the exhibition industry is essential for this role.
The Role:

As Production Manager, you’ll oversee the production team and lead the delivery of custom exhibition stand projects from initial concept to successful completion. You’ll be responsible for strategic planning, quoting, scheduling, and ensuring every project runs on time and within budget. Working closely with the Account Management team, you’ll provide detailed costings and manage on-site delivery and client handover with precision and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities include;
  • Oversee processes and continuously improve efficiency within the Production department
  • Successfully execute projects from concept to completion
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to streamline workflow
  • Lead and manage the Project Management team
  • Allocate projects and ensure timelines are met
  • Build and maintain strong supplier, organiser, and venue relationships
  • Monitor project profitability and manage large-scale, high-impact projects
  • Collaborate with Account Managers to develop detailed project quotes and budgets
  • Foster a high-performance culture through training, mentorship, and clear communication
  • Attend industry events to stay ahead of emerging trends and technologies
  • Support company-wide strategic planning and reporting
  • Ensure alignment of company values and mission in all operational activity
The Candidate:

The successful candidate will have prior experience working on custom stand projects in the exhibition industry in a production and/or operational role. A strong technical understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes is essential.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex projects under tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational capabilities
  • Practical, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Comfortable with autonomy and single-point accountability
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as required
  • Has a strong focus on client experience
  • Custom stand expertise is essential
  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours for events when required
  • Ability to work from the office 5 days a week
