The Company:A membership based organisation based in Melbourne who advocate for their members to the government, as well as create great events that train up their membership base and further educate people in their industry.

The Role:Reporting to the Head of Education, the role will be responsible for the development and production of commercially sustainable, quality conference and event programs. The position will also be responsible for topic research, program formulation and speaker engagement to develop a successful product and will liaise closely with key stakeholders with regards to marketing, event delivery and member engagement.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Conduct effective market research to identify the most pressing issues/topics
- Systematically research key trends and new developments in the business environment
- Develop quality, relevant, market-driven programs
- Budget management and the achievement of financial and qualitative targets, as well as the efficiency of the product development process.
- Research, identify and secure top quality speakers around the world, with a lens on industry experts
- Produce commercially successful, quality conferences
- Contributes to new product development and provides input into strategic direction of Conferences
- Responsible for project management and implementation of conferences and events
The Candidate:
Having worked as a Conference Producer or Senior Conference Producer in either an agency or Association previously, you will be looking for your next step up. A passion for events and ability to research and come up with innovative ideas is essential for this role.
- Senior level ability to create content and research new emerging concepts within the market
- Experience in producing high quality conference programs
- A high level of energy, enthusiasm, creativity and drive to succeed
- Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
- Exceptional research, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong and proven budget management and reporting skills
- High level project and time management skills and the ability to prioritise effectively to ensure all deadlines are met
- Strong negotiation skills and good relationship management skills
