Part-Time Business Development Manager - MICE

The Company:

This wonderful Incentive & Events Agency are looking to bring in the new year with a new Business Development Manager to join their team on a part-time basis. With a small but mighty team, they specialise in creating and managing incentive programs across Australia and Internationally, as well as producing conferences and events.

Position Terms:
  • Permanent, Part-Time Role (16 hours, which can be spread throughout the working week)
  • Flexible working arrangements after the first few weeks (office located in Northern Sydney)
  • Salary: $80,000 plus super, plus comms, pro rata for the 16 hours a week
The Role:

The Business Development Manager will focus on securing meetings and proposal/pitch opportunities with new clients to expand the Agency's clientele. 

Key Responsibilities include;
  • Contact prospective businesses to build the Agency's client list.
  • Secure face-to-face meetings with prospective new clients for the Director to attend.
  • Keep a detailed data list of contacts, regularly updated, using Zoho and Sales Navigator.
  • Use an existing PPT template to modify it for each perspective client when sending out proposals.
  • For the first 6 months of 2026, this role will also oversee (with support from the Director) a graduate project with two recent graduates with the aim to streamline the website, social media and business development.
The Candidate:

The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a Business Development role, ideally within the MICE industry. The ability to work 16 hours a week but happy to have this spread across multiple days would be ideal for this role. 
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong teamwork skills and comfortable working in a small team.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work mostly remotely.
  • Excellent negotiator, with the ability to build rapport with existing and prospective clients.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, Zoho, and Sales Navigator is desirable.
  • Ability to work out of the Northern Sydney based office for the first two weeks, then moving to mostly remote working.
