Marketing Manager - Events & Exhibitions

The Company:
This world-class Events and Exhibition Agency organises and creates a wide variety of large scale Exhibitions, Trade Shows, Fairs and Events. They are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to join their team to lead the delivery of marketing activities across the company. The role will cover both consumer events, as well as B2B trade exhibitions focused on specific industries.
Position Terms: - Full-Time Permanent Role, working 5 days in the office located on the Northern Beaches
- Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 plus super (depending on experience)
The Role:
The Marketing Manager will report to the General Manager. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for creating and executing the marketing strategy, working with internal marketing coordinators and graphic designers, as well as external partners. They will lead the marketing campaigns, evaluate marketing performance metrics, and collaborate with internal teams.
Key Responsibilities include;
- Lead the creation and execution of marketing plans
- Define and execute the marketing and communication activities according to the marketing plan
- Coordinate all marketing activities to generate leads for both exhibition sales and drive attendance at events
- Collaborate with other teams to better understand current market challenges and opportunities
- Brief Design, PR and other outside agencies as required, coordinate and deliver all marketing and promotional materials, literature and brochures as agreed per marketing plan
- Oversee email marketing, social media advertising campaigns, print campaigns, websites and more
- Prepare and control marketing expense budgets for all assigned shows and events
- Measure effectiveness of marketing and advertising campaigns, recommending modifications where necessary
- Exercise initiative and creativity in making recommendations for new sales promotion and marketing programs to reach target audience
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Marketing Coordinator or Marketing Manager with experience working in events marketing. Experience creating and executing marketing campaigns for large scale B2C and B2B events is highly desirable.
- Experience using EDM software - namely Mailchimp or similar
- Experience using website software such as Wordpress
- Strong verbal, written, and organisational skills
- Highly organised, can multi-task and set priorities to meet deadlines
- Team player with excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail with a high accuracy level
- Experienced in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Prior experience executing Digital Ad Campaigns (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google) is highly desirable
- Prior experience with Google Analytics is highly desirable
- Ability to work in the office 5 days a week, office located in the Northern Beaches
