The Company:
This brilliant B2B Events Agency is one of the largest events companies in Australia and services a wide portfolio of clients across multiple industries. They are looking for a Head of Event Production to join their team to lead the Event Producers, Managers and Coordinators. This is a senior leadership role managing a large internal team.
Position Terms: - Full-time permanent role
- In office working but flexibliity is available when required
- Competitive Salary: Renumeration to be negotiated based on experience, but is a senior leadership position
The Role:
The Head of Event Production will lead the Events Production team, consisting of 6 direct reports and 20 indirect reports. The Head of Event Production will oversee all event delivery for the Agency, including conferences, summits, award shows, gala dinners, and other corporate events.
Key Responsibilities;
- Act as key leader for ensuring effective delivery of all events.
- Act as the interface between commercial, marketing and events teams.
- Responsibile for ideateation, shaping, creating and delivering new events.
- Facilitate greater speed and productivity of event delivery and ensure all events are delivered on time, on target, and on budget.
- Be accountable for operational cadence: resourcing, HR, people management, organisational structure of events team.
- Be accountable/responsible for the effective delivery of all events.
- Drive organisational change and technological advancement across our event production, including integration on new systems and processes.
- Has the capacity to help strategically drive growth of the events team.
- Lead and mentor the events team.
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will have extensive experience working within a B2B Events Agency as a Head of Production or Head of Events. The ideal candidate will have strong people management skills. Team leadership skills are essential for this role as well as proven experience managing a team of at least 5+ in a role.
- Excellent commercial acumen, with the ability to ideate, shape, create, and deliver new events.
- Exceptional event management skills, with the ability to oversee the delivery of a large portfolio of major events each year.
- Exceptional team leadership and people management skills.
- Proven experience managing event delivery of large-scale events including conferences, summits, gala dinners, and award shows.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional budget and financial management skills.
- Can do attitude, fluid thinker, strong tactical operator and good cultural leader.
