The Company:

An exhibition and conference B2B events agency based in Sydney are looking for a great new team member to lead their Conference Production Team. The company puts together sensational conferences, exhibitions and summits as well as professional training programs and have a great core well established team. 

Position Terms:

• Full-Time Permanent Role
• Office working: 5 days in office
• Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 plus super (depending on experience) plus bonus 

The Role:

This role will lead the planning and execution of high profile conferences and exhibitions. Leading a team of highly skilled Conference Producers, this role will be responsible for driving the creation of content for the events and will be central to ensuring the successful delivery of engaging, logistically sound and commercially viable events. 

Key responsibilities will include: 

• Strategic planning and leadership, mentoring a team of conference producers
• Drive innovation in event formats, delivery models and audience engagement 
• Collaborate with senior leadership on the long term vision and roadmap of event development
• Oversee the end to end production of conferences and exhibitions from conception through to post event analysis 
• Work with the content team to develop compelling agendas secure high profile speakers and ensure relevance to the target audience
• Ensure each event has a clear value proposition and delivers measureable ROI for attendees, sponsors and stakeholders
• Implement best practises in production timelines, supplier management and on site execution
• Create and manage production schedules, budgets and resource plans for multiple events simultaneously
• Liaise with operations teams to ensure all logistical requirements are seamlessly integrated 
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues before and during events to ensure flawless delivery 
• Build and maintain relationships with industry experts, senior level speakers, advisory boards and partners 
• Ensure speaker communications are clear, timely and professional and that all content is delivered to standard and on schedule
• Contribute to revenue generation strategies through content positioning, audience acquisition and partnership alignment
• Monitor event performance metrics (delegate satisfaction, speaker feedback, profitability) and implement improvements

The Candidate: 

Having worked as a Portfolio Lead or Executive Conference Producer in another B2B Agency, you will be looking for your next step up. Having a passion for the conference and exhibitions industry, you will be a senior leadership professional and have a proven track record of delivering large scale B2B conferences and exhibitions across different sectors and markets. 

• Strong understanding of content strategy, speaker acquisiion and agenda development 
• You will have a proven track record of delivering large scale B2B conferences and exhibitions across different sectors and markets
• Exceptional project management and organisational skills 
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills 
• Strong commercial acumen and experience managing budgets and revenue targets
• Senior level proiency in event production software and tools 
• International event delivery experience is desirable 
• Experience working in a fast paced B2B agency is essential for this role 
• An understanding of the current conference market and commercial knowledge of competitors in the space 
• Experience conducting research and understanding senior level content strategy 
• A high level of energy, enthusiasm, creativity and drive to succeed
