The Company:
A growing events agency based in Melbourne and looking for a great new team member to join their team as an Event Manager. This agency has a great reputation in the space! They work on world class events for corporate clients including conferences, summits and awards programs.
The Role:
The Event Manager will oversee the planning, execution and evaluation of various events, including conferences, summits and awards programs for corporate clients. A key aspect of the role of Event Manager is the collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders such as clients, sponsors, suppliers, media, speakers, and attendees to ensure the events meet the objectives, budget, and expectations of the clients
Key Responsibilities include;
- Responsible for your own events, and project managing them from end-to-end
- Mentor the junior members within the events team
- Leadership role at various events
- Build and negotiate relationships and contracts with suppliers
- Help design creative event concepts
- Run key internal and external communications e.g., with staff, client meetings, supplier engagements, etc
- Oversee budget management for all events
- Oversee event project management milestones and critical timelines, ensuring we are on time and on-budget
- Planning of events from start to finish according to requirements, target audiences and objectives
- Research and keep in touch with latest trends to identify potential opportunities and challenges for events
- Work with accounts team on budget management and event reconciliations
- Review and debrief of all events and strive for improvements
- Assist with developing event proposals, budgets, timelines and contracts for our clients’ approval
- Negotiate with venues, suppliers, sponsors, speakers, entertainers and other partners to secure the best deals and services
- Guide the design and implementation of event marketing and promotion strategies to attract and engage target audiences and sponsors
- Monitor and evaluate event performance, feedback and satisfaction
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have experience working as an Event Manager or Senior Event Coordinator within a corporate agency and will be looking for the next long term role in their career. The ideal candidate will have experience projecting managing various types of events including conferences, summits and awards.
