They are looking for an Events Specialist to join their team on a short-term contract.

Position Terms:
  • Immediate Start Full-Time 8-Week Contract Role (with the possibility to extend)
  • Hybrid working
  • Salary $90,000 - $95,000 plus super pro rata for the contract period
The Role:

Reporting to the Events Manager, the Events Specialist plays a pivotal role in the delivery of exceptional events for the association and their members. The Events Specialist will support the management and delivery of upcoming events.

Key Responsibilities include;
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support across all aspects of events, including planning, venue selection, sourcing quotes, vendor management, budget and expense management, and logistics.
  • Manage internal communication of event opportunities across various platforms, ensuring timely and effective correspondence.
  • Manage external communication with stakeholders and sponsorship.
  • Manage post-event reporting and data collection.
  • Budget Management
  • Oversee the management of corporate sponsorship for events, ensuring all sponsorship package inclusions are delivered and utilised.
The Candidate:

The successful candidate will have previous event management experience, ideally within an Association or Not-For-Profit as an Event Manager or Event Specialist. Exceptional organisational skills and high attention to detail is essential for this role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on developing positive stakeholder relationships.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and deliver to tight deadlines for multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple departments in a business environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is a plus.
  • Ability to start immediately and have full availability for the contract.
  • Ability to travel for events when required.
