The Company: A fast growing boutique events agency based in Melbourne is looking for an experienced Producer to join their team. The agency delivers premium corporate events, conferences, incentives, roadshows and brand activations across Australia and the wider APAC region. The Role:
The Producer will be responsible for leading the planning and delivery of major client programs and premium events across a diverse portfolio. This is a hands on delivery role where you will take ownership of events from initial planning through to production and onsite execution. Projects will include conferences, incentive programs, roadshows, brand activations and other corporate events.
The Producer will be responsible for managing senior client relationships, event budgets, creative and production requirements, logistics and delivery teams. You will also work closely with Project Coordinators, providing guidance and support throughout the delivery process.
Key responsibilities will include: - Lead the complete planning and delivery of major events and complex client programs.
- Manage conferences, incentives, roadshows, brand activations and other corporate events.
- Take ownership of event planning, production, creative, logistics and onsite delivery.
- Ensure events are delivered on time, within budget and to an exceptional standard.
- Act as the primary client contact across allocated projects.
- Build strong and trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
- Lead regular client meetings and provide clear updates throughout the planning process.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues and changing requirements.
- Own and manage event budgets across assigned programs.
- Maintain strong cost control, forecasting and financial management.
- Identify potential budget, scope and resourcing issues early in the project lifecycle.
- Oversee production requirements including staging, AV, branding, signage and theming.
- Work closely with designers to develop creative concepts and manage artwork through approval and production.
- Coordinate suppliers and production partners to ensure all event requirements are delivered successfully.
- Manage sponsor and exhibitor requirements where applicable.
- Develop detailed timelines, event schedules, running sheets and production documentation.
- Lead onsite delivery including rehearsals, speaker management, production requirements and event flow.
- Troubleshoot challenges onsite and provide practical solutions.
- Support and guide Project Coordinators working across assigned events.
- Provide regular feedback and mentoring to junior team members.
- Work collaboratively with the wider agency team to ensure seamless event delivery.
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will have strong experience producing corporate events and will be confident taking complete ownership of projects from concept through to delivery. You will have experience working directly with senior clients and enjoy being involved across all elements of an event including creative, production, logistics, budgets and onsite delivery. Ideally you will come from an events agency, experiential agency, conference agency or similar environment where you have managed multiple complex events simultaneously.
The successful candidate will also have:
- Proven experience as an Event Producer, Producer or Event Project Manager.
- Experience managing corporate events from initial planning through to onsite delivery.
- Experience across conferences, incentives, roadshows, brand activations or similar events.
- Strong client relationship and stakeholder management experience.
- Confidence managing senior client relationships and leading client meetings.
- Strong event production knowledge including AV, staging, branding, signage and theming.
- Experience working with creative and design teams.
- Strong event budget management and commercial skills.
- Experience managing suppliers, venues and production partners.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills.
- The ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high quality event delivery.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong problem solving and decision making capabilities.
- Confidence leading onsite event delivery and managing event teams.
- Experience supporting or mentoring junior event professionals.
