The Company:

This wonderful events supplier creates stunning installations and show-stopping events for a wide variety of clients. They are looking for an experienced Event Designer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Position Terms:
  • Full-Time Permanent Role, working 5 days in the office
  • Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 plus super (depending on experience)
  • Weekend and outside of hours work required for events
The Role:

The Event Designer will work closely with high-end clients across Australia to bring creative visions to life through concept development, spatial design, visualisation, presentation creation, and execution. This role will collaborate closely with the wider team to design exceptional experiences and deliver bespoke events and large-scale installations.

Key Responsibilities include;
  • Develop innovative event concepts and creative solutions that align with client objectives, brand identity, and event outcomes.
  • Translate client briefs into compelling visual presentations, mood boards, renderings, and event design proposals.
  • Create immersive guest experiences through spatial planning, styling direction, and environmental design.
  • Produce floor plans, event layouts, technical drawings, and 3D visualisations to communicate design intent.
  • Source and specify styling elements, décor, furniture, florals, structures, and custom-built event features.
  • Present concepts and design solutions confidently to clients and stakeholders.
  • Contribute ideas and strategies to continually innovate and elevate the creative offering across all projects.
  • Stay informed on design trends, emerging technologies, materials, and experiential marketing concepts to inspire future work.
  • Work across multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and design quality.
  • Attend site visits, installations, and event bump-ins to ensure designs are executed to the highest standard.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, fabricators, and technical partners to bring creative concepts to life.
  • Ensure all designs consider guest flow, functionality, safety requirements, and operational feasibility.
  • Support the development of design documentation, presentations, and creative pitches for new business opportunities.
The Candidate:

The successful candidate will have previous experience working as an Event Designer, Experiential Designer, Creative Designer, Spatial Designer, or similar role within the events industry. You will bring a highly creative mindset, strong visual communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional event experiences.
  • Proven experience designing events, activations, exhibitions, experiential campaigns, or large-scale installations.
  • Drafting experience in Vectorworks is essential.
  • Proficiency in CAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or similar design software is highly desirable.
  • Excellent understanding of event production, fabrication, styling, and technical event elements.
  • Impeccable attention to detail.
