This sensational B2B Events Agency in Sydney creates, manages, plans, and delivers a range of Conferences, Summits and Forums on a wide range of industries. The Agency are really passionate about the sectors they work in and create brilliant events for these industries. With a great team of staff, they are looking for a Delegate Sales Manager to join their team.

Position Terms:
  • Full time permanent role
  • 4 days working from the office, 1 day working from home
  • Salary $90,000 - $100,000 plus super plus commission
The Role:

As the Delegate Sales Manager, you will lead a team of Delegate Sales Coordinators, overseeing the full sales cycle from strategy and lead generation through to conversion and post-sale engagement. You will be responsible for driving delegate revenue, mentoring and developing team members, and ensuring alignment with event objectives.

Key Responsibilities include;
  • Develop and execute delegate sales strategies in collaboration with marketing and event production.
  • Oversee research and segmentation of target audiences for each event.
  • Identify and implement improvements in lead generation, outreach tactics, and conversion processes.
  • Personally manage and close high-value or strategic delegate sales opportunities where necessary.
  • Lead, coach and motivate the delegate sales team to consistently exceed sales targets and KPIs.
  • Conduct regular one-on-ones, call coaching, and performance reviews to support individual development.
  • Provide training and onboarding for new hires and ongoing professional development for existing team members.
  • Monitor team sales activity via CRM and dashboards, ensuring pipeline health and accurate forecasting.
  • Foster a positive, competitive, and high-performance team culture.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data management, including pipeline tracking and activity reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, marketing, customer success) to align on event positioning, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Ensure timely issuing of delegate invoices and accurate record keeping.
The Candidate:

The successful candidate will have proven experience in a delegate or sponsorship sales role, with demonstrated success in achieving targets and KPI's. Experience working within a B2B Events Agency is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience leading or mentoring a sales team, ideally within conferences, exhibitions, or professional training sectors.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and hold a team accountable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a confident approach to engaging senior executives.
  • Commercially savvy with a growth mindset and strong understanding of pipeline management.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proficient in CRM systems (Hubspot experience highly regarded).
  • Ability to work from the office a minimum of 4 days a week.
