The Company:

This Hospitality Group is a power house in the Australian Hospitality space. The amazing team plans and executes a range of corporate and social events, tailored to the clients needs with precision. They own and operate within multiple venues across Sydney, and they are looking for a Commercial Sales Manager to join their team.

Position Terms:
  • Full-Time, Permanent Role
  • Working Full-Time in the Head Office
  • Salary: $95,000 - $105,000 plus super plus bonus
  • Occasional work outside of normal business hours for events is required.
The Role:

The Commercial Sales Manager will be responsible for supporting the Head of Sales Operations by being responsible for managing a team, clients and operations of the Corporate Sales Team. The role is influential as part of the Sales Leadership Team to achieve individual and team sales budget and oversee day-to-day tasks of the team.

Key Responsibilities include;
  • Show prospective clients through the venue when required and respond to client needs.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Leadership Team to align sales objectives with overall business objectives.
  • Ensure the seamless and efficient operations of the sales processes, from lead generation to confirmation to payment.
  • Use technology solutions effectively to enhance the sales experience for both clients and the Sales team.
  • Ensure that all sales material and collateral is up-to-date, accurate and relevant.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of Sales Managers
  • Provide guidance and coaching to team members, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
  • Conduct training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members.
  • Work closely with the Head of Sales Operations to ensure that the teams within their portfolio achieve or exceed agreed sales budgets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
  • Work closely with the team to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Foster collaboration between teams to ensure a seamless and coordinated approach to sales and other departments.
The Candidate:

The successful candidate will have previous experience working as a Sales Manager within the hospitality and events industry. Experience managing sales teams with strong people management skills.
  • Proven record of meeting sales targets within the hospitality and events industry.
  • Ability to translate strategy into an executable plan and drive high quality outcomes.
  • Strong analytical and evaluative skills to address business problems.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Strong sales techniques and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Exceptional time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, and a working knowledge of using CRM software.
  • Excellent financial and budget management skills.
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours for events when required.
