The Company:
This fantastic National Association has been supporting and representing their members for over 50 years! They organise and deliver a range of conferences and events across the country, and are looking for a Business Development Coordinator to join their events team.
Position Terms: - Full-time permanent role
- Working 3 days in office and 2 from home
- Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 plus super
The Role:
The Business Development Coordinator will report to the Director of Events, and will be responsible for event coordination, sponsorship management, and business development. This role is responsible for selling sponsorships and other assets/packages for a range of events across Australia.
Key Responsibilities include;
- Event Coordination:
- Exhibition and sponsorship sales and liaison;
- Event operations;
- Venue and supplier liaison;
- Delegate registration;
- Volunteer management;
- On-site operations.
- Sponsorship Management:
- Identify, source and secure sponsorship sales;
- Oversee all sponsorship offerings and agreements;
- Manage the Sponsorship and Exhibitor portal.
- Award Show Management:
- Submission coordination;
- Coordinate judges and judging process;
- Assist with execution of marketing plan;
- Awards collateral production;
- Assist with planning and coordination of awards gala dinner including ticketing, entertainment and onsite operations.
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will have a background in event management with strong business development and sponsorship sales skills. Experience working within an association or membership body is highly desirable.
- Proven success in event sponsorship and exhibition sales.
- Exceptional account management skills of event stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational, time management, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Professional and polite manner in person, phone and email.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strategic relationships with individuals and other stakeholders.
- Knowledge of sponsorship & exhibition portal implementation and management is highly desirable.
- Ability to work in the office min. 3 days a week.
- Ability to travel for events when required.
