A well established event production company is looking for an experienced Audio Visual Technician to join their team. The company delivers technical production across corporate events, conferences and live productions, providing audio, vision, lighting and staging solutions for a diverse range of clients.

The Role:
The Audio Visual Technician will be responsible for the setup, operation and pack down of audio, visual, lighting and staging equipment across corporate events, conferences and live productions. This is a practical and technical role requiring strong AV knowledge, excellent attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly while maintaining a high level of client service.
You will work closely with clients, presenters, venue teams and internal production staff to ensure events run smoothly from setup through to pack down.
Key responsibilities will include: - Prepare, test and maintain audio visual and lighting equipment prior to deployment.
- Set up and operate audio systems including PA systems, microphones and mixing consoles.
- Set up and operate vision systems including projectors, LED screens and switching equipment.
- Set up and operate lighting systems including conventional, LED and intelligent fixtures.
- Install staging, draping and basic rigging as required.
- Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and effectively during events.
- Ensure equipment is handled, transported and stored safely.
- Provide onsite technical support during conferences, corporate events and live productions.
- Liaise with clients, presenters and venue staff to ensure event requirements are met.
- Conduct sound checks and rehearsals with presenters and performers.
- Follow run sheets and production schedules accurately.
- Maintain professional presentation and behaviour onsite.
- Assist with warehouse preparation and equipment returns.
- Maintain equipment to company standards.
- Report damaged or faulty equipment.
- Assist with stock management and inventory control.
- Follow all OHS policies and procedures.
- Ensure safe cable management and equipment placement.
- Participate in risk assessments and safe work practices.
- Maintain any relevant licences required for the role.
The Candidate: The successful candidate will have previous experience working within live events, corporate AV or technical production and will be confident setting up and operating a range of audio visual equipment. You will be reliable, technically capable and calm under pressure, with the ability to work collaboratively onsite while providing a high level of client service.
The successful candidate will also have:
- Previous experience within live event or corporate AV production.
- Strong knowledge of audio systems, vision systems and lighting fundamentals.
- Experience operating AV equipment in an event environment.
- The ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings and run sheets.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication and client facing skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A professional and reliable approach.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure.
- A proactive and solutions focused mindset.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- A current driver's licence.
- A White Card, Working at Heights licence or other relevant certifications would be highly regarded where required.
