The Company:This company is a National Events Supplier working within the technical space, and they are looking for their next Account Manager - Technical Events to join their team. This events supplier are a leader in the space they work in, with staff all across Australia.
Position Terms: - Full-time permanent role
- Working 5 days per week in the office in Melbourne CBD
- Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 plus super
The Role:
The Account Manager - Technical Events role will be responsible for working with clients to quote on technical services and to ensure all client needs are met. Managing a team of junior staff onsite, this role will mentor and lead this team to make sure they are handling requirements for clients. This role will be responsible for managing the client relationships, ensuring quotations are developed on time for clients and then ensuring all on site needs for crew and handling the event onsite.
Key Responsibilities include;
- Ensure the efficient and safe running of event technology
- Manage existing and new client relationships
- Build and maintain relationships with other suppliers and venues
- Follow up on all leads for potential new business as well as ensuring all business that comes in is accurately quoted and followed up on
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue and increase business with clients
- Attend networking events and venue events to promote our services
- Meet with onsite event teams to ensure successful client relationships and hand over of the events
- Plan and arrange all upcoming requirements for bookings
- Handle all the sale, including site visits, quotations, handling of contracts and requirements
- Educate and advising clients on technical needs when required
- Provide technical training if required to onsite teams
- Ensure run sheets are developed and then combined with the wider event plan for the event
- Maintain and handle staff rosters and schedules
- Make sure junior team members are handling equipment well and organising set up and bump out requirements for events at venues
- Manage budgets an financials, ensuring reports are given to senior management when required and event budgets are kept in check
- Act as a leader and mentor for junior staff in the team
The Candidate:The successful candidate will have exceptional communication skills with a background and passion for the events and technicaly industries. Experience working in AV, broadcast, event software as well as event sales is desirable. Experience working in a client facing role and the confidence to communicate with c-suite executives is essential for this role.
- Highly organised, driven, well-presented, and proactive.
- Good knowledge of, and an interest in, technology, AV or Event Production.
- Confident and comfortable in a variety of client-facing situations.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office suite of programs and quick learner with event technology
- A strong multitasker with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work from a Melbourne CBD office 5 days per week
- Be well presented as you will be meeting clients any day of the week for sales and quotations
