The Company:

A leading event hire, styling and production company based in Sydney is looking for an experienced Account Manager to join their growing team.
The company works across corporate events, private celebrations, brand activations, exhibitions and major events, providing a broad range of event hire, styling and production solutions. Working with event agencies, venues, caterers, corporate clients and wedding planners, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves events, design and building strong client relationships.

The Role:

The Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of new and existing clients across the events, hospitality and corporate sectors.
This is a relationship focused role where you will manage clients from initial enquiry and quotation through to booking, event delivery and follow up.
Working closely with the creative, styling, operations and logistics teams, you will develop event solutions that meet the client's brief, budget and requirements while identifying opportunities to grow accounts and increase repeat business.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Manage a portfolio of new and existing event clients.
  • Act as the primary point of contact throughout the enquiry, quoting and booking process.
  • Build strong relationships with event agencies, venues, caterers, corporate clients, wedding planners and other industry partners.
  • Understand client briefs, budgets, timelines and event requirements.
  • Provide recommendations across furniture, linen, tableware, styling, signage, custom event elements and other event services.
  • Conduct client meetings, showroom appointments and site inspections when required.
  • Prepare accurate quotes and proposals based on client requirements.
  • Manage quote revisions, product selections, quantities and booking confirmations.
  • Ensure all event information is accurate before handover to the operations team.
  • Work closely with creative, styling, production, print, operations and logistics teams.
  • Monitor upcoming events and proactively resolve any issues prior to delivery.
  • Manage changes to confirmed bookings and communicate updates across internal teams.
  • Follow up outstanding quotes and maintain an active sales pipeline.
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue across existing client accounts.
  • Cross sell additional event services and capabilities where appropriate.
  • Develop repeat business and strengthen relationships with key accounts.
  • Re engage previous clients and identify new opportunities.
  • Work towards individual and team revenue targets.
  • Maintain accurate client, opportunity and booking information within CRM and hire management systems.
  • Monitor conversion rates, account activity and sales pipeline performance.
  • Attend selected events, installations, site visits and industry networking opportunities.
  • Follow up with clients after events and maintain relationships beyond individual bookings.
The Candidate:

The successful candidate will have previous experience within Account Management, Event Sales, Event Management or Client Services and will enjoy working in a fast paced, client focused environment. You will be commercially minded without being overly sales focused, with the ability to develop long term relationships, understand event briefs and provide creative and practical solutions for clients. Previous experience within events, hospitality, venues, furniture hire, event suppliers or the experiential sector would be highly regarded.

The successful candidate will also have:
  • Previous Account Management, Event Sales or Client Services experience.
  • Strong client relationship and communication skills.
  • Confidence preparing and negotiating quotes and proposals.
  • A commercial mindset with the ability to identify account growth opportunities.
  • Strong event industry knowledge.
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage multiple events, clients and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Confidence working in a fast paced environment where priorities can change quickly.
  • Strong problem solving skills and a proactive approach.
  • Experience working collaboratively across sales, creative and operational teams.
  • Experience using CRM, quoting, hire management or project management systems would be advantageous.
  • Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills.
  • A current driver's licence would be preferred.

  • Strong ownership and accountability.
  • A genuine interest in events, styling, design and creating exceptional client experiences.
