The Company:

Our client is a National Events Agency and Supplier with offices right across Australia in different states. They focus on University Events and supply all the requirements for Universities to run their graduations and other internal events. This is a permanent position to help manage the warehouse and also merchandise for the agency this role will be based in their Perth office. 

The Role:

The Warehouse / Merchandise Coordinator role is a hands on position and requires someone to be well organise to handle an entire warehouse of regalia, merchandise for university graduations and event equipment requirements. This role will manage all the stock, deliveries and ensure all equipment is kept in a good order and packed when required for an event. 
Key responsibilities will include;
  • Managing all the merchandise including ensuring all inbound and outbound deliveries are managed 
  • Manage the online merchandise sales and requirements through our online shop
  • Ensure adequate stock is ordered for all upcoming events and work with the National Product Manager to maintain stock levels 
  • Ensure all inventory is clearly labelled and stored correctly 
  • Check all stock and equipment and ensure it's maintained and in good working condition 
  • Advise the State Manager of any damaged stock or equipment that needs repair or replacement 
  • Assist the photography team leader in maintaining the graduate equipment that needs repair or replacement
  • Ensure all records of equipment and stock levels are maintained
  • Ensure WHS and Risk Management requirements within the warehouse are met and ensure staff are wearing correct PPE and testing and tagging is up to date
The Candidate: 

Having a background in logistics, warehouse management or merchandise management would be great for this role. The right candidate will be a brilliant organiser and be hands on and able to manage a large inventory.  
  • Experience working for an event supplier or managing a warehouse previously 
  • Experience in logistics, warehouse management or merchandise management 
  • Experience with MS Office Suite particularly Excel 
  • Knowledge of WHS requirements and policies and procedures 
  • Able to solve problems and source the right person to fix equipment when required
  • Have a drivers license is essential for this role
  • Having a forklift license is preferred for this role
