The Company:


An exhibition and conference organiser based in Melbourne but are a global team and they are looking for a great new team member to join their agency. The company puts together sensational conferences and exhibitions as well as online events and we have been recruiting for them for around 8 years. We placed a Sales Manager with their team 6 years ago and they are still in the team to this day 🙂 

The Role:

The Sponsorship Manager role will work within a larger global team and report into the Managing Director. This role will involve selling sponsorship for the events that the agency creates and creating packages that will encourage more involvement from sponsors as well. This role will involve engaging sales and marketing leaders from corporate businesses and exploring how you can help them address core strategic goals in their business and enabling sponsorship growth as well into the events managed. 

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Sourcing, attracting and securing sponsors for various events, exhibitions, conferences and summits  
  • Handling sponsors requirements 
  • Development of sponsorship packages 
  • Phone calls and meetings with potential sponsors 
  • Handling contracts 
  • Organising all sponsors requirements during the events
  • Ability to reach sales targets and work autonomously  
The Candidate: 

With a great sales ability and previous experience in sponsorship management, you will understand events and have a natural client liaison ability. You must have previous management experience and be proactive, engaging and inspired to join a great team. 
  • Previous sponsorship experience
  • Responsible for meeting individual/personal sales targets
  • Previous experience in developing strong relationships
  • Strong written, verbal and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Hard working and ambitious
