The Company:


A sensational agency based in North Sydney that have a clientele mostly in the IT space, they do incentive and conference events for their clients are looking for a new permanent team member. We have been recruiting for this client for about 5 years, with a great relationship and placed some sensational team members who are have been with the business for that long as well. 
  
The Role:

The Senior Events Manager role reports into the Operations Manager and manage clients and events. This is a senior position within the business and will be client facing as well as managing an events team to deliver those projects. 
 
Key responsibilities will include;
  • The ability to hit the ground running managing end to end event programs 
  • Manage multiple project simultaneously 
  • Website builds and handling of all requirements of this 
  • Registration platforms - preferrably EventsAIR and Aventri experience and ability to use these to manage the events 
  • Hotel/Venue Contract negotiations and handling these 
  • Financial and budget management of the event 
  • Develop powerpoint proposals for client pitches and other requirements 
  • Handling of all event logistics and event marketing requirements 
  • Understanding of Event Production and being able to bring in suppliers as required
  • Developing event briefs and run sheets 
  • Manage a project team for the events when required 
The Candidate: 

The ideal background would be someone currently working within a similar role within an event agency and has incentive and conference experience although the client will also consider candidates from a hotel background. Candidates must be confident client facing and have a proven background in delivering a range of events from end to end including full logistics and budget management. 
  • Extensive experience as an Events Manager or Senior Events Manager
  • Experience working with incentives and conferences 
  • Exceptional client and supplier relationship management skills
  • Experience understanding technical requirements is a must
  • Be highly motivated and results driven with exceptional organisational skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and engagement experience
  • Creative with an ability to write concepts, content understanding, scripts and develop proposals
  • Must love events and have a strong passion for events culture
  • Excellent communication, presentation and time management skills
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, innovative, inspiring and results driven
  • Be proactive and able to make decisions
  • Sound budget management experience 
  • Sound judgement and decision making
