The Company:

A B2B exhibition and conference agency based in Sydney are looking for a great new team member to join their Conference Production team. The company puts together sensational conferences and has two distinct divisions within their team and this role will work on more government style conferences, developing content for the events. 

The Role:

A unique opportunity for an eager candidate to join a team that develops most successful conferences, roundtables and bespoke events across the ANZ region. They are seeking a motivated, hard-working, results driven individual who is keen on joining a growing company and managing a great team of staff.

Key Responsibilities include;
  • Managing a team of Conference Producers and a portfolio of events for the agency 
  • Researching local and global emerging tech trends impacting Australian technologists and security leaders to create compelling conference agendas
  • Acquiring C-level executives to speak at events: liaising with communications teams, EAs and speakers directly
  • Effectively project-managing events from their inception to completion using CRM, communication and workflow software
  • Delivering events (both virtual and in person) on the day, by managing speakers and clients
  • Become engrained in the industry by developing relationships with the business community
  • Writing content-led marketing copy
  • Travelling to run events across Australia, New Zealand and throughout Asia
  • Managing projects and people to ensure we hit milestones and targets for events, content distribution and relationship goals with speakers
The Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned senior conference production professional with a flair and also staff management experience. 
  • Confident, well-spoken and a leader – in order to liaise with senior decision makers for conferences and research meetings
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven research, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Previous relevant work experience in a conference production
  • Very strong attention to detail and effective project & time management. Experience using Salesforce & Asana would be desirable.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to build business relationships at all levels
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, delivering to budgets, timeline sand standards (or above)
