The Company:

A leading National Association based in Sydney CBD are looking for a National Events Manager to join their team permanently. This Association are not for profit and have a large membership base right across Australia. 

The Role:

The National Events Manager role reports into the CEO and is responsible for developing and managing the entire yearly calendar of events, awards nights, webinars and educational events for the Association. 
Key responsibilities will include;
  • Overseeing the entire yearly events strategy 
  • Managing a team of Event Coordinators including Coordinators based in other states across Australia
  • Delivery of all events from end to end including gala dinners, seminars and training events 
  • Key stakeholder communications management
  • Identifying and securing speakers for the events 
  • Working with the membership base to develop sponsorship opportunities for events 
  • Managing the marketing and communciations for the events 
  • Budget and project management for all events
  • Producing timelines, run sheets, contracts etc
  • Managing suppliers and ensuring all contracts are in place 
  • Full logistics and operations management
  • Oversee all risk management and OH&S compliance at events
The Candidate: 

The ideal background would be someone currently working for a leading Association that has great leadership and management qualities. The candidate will have experience with managing National event programs and have great experience managing other team members. 
  • Extensive experience as a Senior or National Events Manager within the Association space 
  • Experience working across a broad range of events including; conferences, gala dinners, meetings, seminars, training events 
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills
  • Be highly motivated and results driven with exceptional organisational skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation and time management skills
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, innovative, inspiring and results driven
  • Be proactive and able to make decisions
  • Sound budget management experience 
  • Sound judgement and decision making
