The Company:

A great Association based in Brisbane are looking for a Member Services Officer - Awards, Events and Sponsorship to join their team. This Association is a peak body for their professional in Australia and this role is an integral part of the chapter team. This role will contribute to the Associations ongoing growth and supporting members. 

The Role:

Member Services Officer - Awards, Events & Sponsorship role works with members and also is responsible for services for the membership including delivery of awards, events, prizes, CPD Training Events and education. 
Key responsibilities will include;

Member Experience responsibilties:
  • Use key strategies to demonstrate membership value and enhance member recruitment, retention, renewal and reinstatement
  • Liaise with the National Membership team on strategies to increase local membership numbers, which could include presenting to local membership businesses 
  • Resolve or escalate chapter specific member queries in partnership with the national membership team
Partnerships and Sponsorship responsibliities: 
  • Identify and build relationships with organisations across who can offer sponsorship opportunities, using partnership prospectuses and showcasing the benefits of collaborating with the Assocation 
  • Liaise with the National Partnerships Team before signing up new partners, ensuring alignment with National sponsorship strategies 
  • Ensure all chapter sponsorship are professionally administered, including prospects indentification, sponsor liaison and recognition, invoicing, accounts and recordkeeping
  • Work to identify philanthropic patronages, government grants and funding programs to support delivery of key projects to bring in additional non membership revenues 
Events, Awards, CPD and other Programs: 
  • With a key focus on quality events and topical programs, support the development of the annual calendar of chapter events, including identifying topics, identifying presenters and delivering events that are impactful and well received by members
  • Implement state based and National CPD initiatives in partnership with the National Education Team 
  • Liaise with the National Events team regarding chapter entries to national prizes 
  • Coordinate the management and logistics of the events, managing volunteers and liaising with various event stakeholders
  • Coordinate sponsor events, ensuring events maximise the sponsors exposure 
  • Support the development and delivery of national conferences and other Chapter and national initiatives where required 
  • Provide committee support, hande communications and general administration and management 
The Candidate: 

The ideal candidate for this role will have experience working with members, handling events and sponsors within an Association environment. 
  • Experience working with members, committees and sponsors preferred for this role
  • Experience managing events including awards preferred for this role 
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills
  • Be highly motivated and results driven with exceptional organisational skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation and time management skills
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, innovative, inspiring and results driven
  • Be proactive and able to make decisions but also know when to ask questions to ensure you have the right information
