The Role:

This Marketing Manager role will report into the Managing Director and be responsible for marketing all the exhibitions and trade shows for the team yearly. You will be responsible for developing the marketing plans for all the events, handling printers and suppliers and ensuring all EDMs are sent and partners are managed. 

Key Responsibilities include;
  • General daily marketing; day to day contact with media planners and buyers
  • Primary point of call for all sponsors / contras / partners / speakers / exhibitors
  • Assistance with external marketing including radio, billboards, flyers, posters and TV
  • Marketing needs during shows including; source and contact speakers and guests, distribute comms to relevant parties, drive marketing and social media support and source featured talents for the shows.
  • Support management with features, including sourcing, timetables and organising prints.
  • Organisation & creation of all internal print documents
  • Creation of exhibitor welcome packs
  • Marketing assistance as required by Operations, Show Coordinator and Show Production teams.
  • Manage volunteer program including marketing requirements to volunteers and contact with volunteers 
  • Digital Marketing including wordpress and updating website 
  • Manage database communications including various trade and consumer lists, creating and sending targeted and effective EDM's, tracking WOM and ROI effectiveness and continually improving the way we communicate.
  • Manage all copywriting across all our platforms
  • Manage ticketing including reporting, distribution and sourcing and implementing quotes, art works and physical printing
The Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be someone with Event Marketing experience, someone who is happy to jump in and be part of a great team. Industry knowledge and experience using a multitude of media platforms will be beneficial. This role will handle most print, copy writing and EDM media. Social media is handled by another team and won't form part of this role. 
  • Be a team player, this entire team has to be hands on and help out when required to ensure the tradeshows and exhibitions are on track and managed
  • Experience with Marketing tradeshows or exhibitions seen as a positive, marketing experience for events is essential for this role though
  • Assist with answering the phone if required and admin team aren't available 
  • The ability to manage your own action list for your key responsibilities with appropriate deadlines and ensure the marketing plans are in action and everything delivered
