The Company:

A great Association based in Melbourne CBD that look after a large group of members from right across Victoria are looking for a Learning and Events Officer to join their team permanently. Apex has currently got 2 staff members working within this team already, this role is now the permanent position with our staff being contractors within the Association.  

The Role:

The position reports into the Manager, Learning and Events and is a permanent 5 day per week role. This role will be responsible for managing a program of events including workshops, seminars and forums. 

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Coordinate the delivery and evaluation of the councillor professional program 
  • Provide support as required with the delivery of events such as workshops, seminars and forums offered by the organisation
  • Provide support as required with the delivery of major events such as conferences and state council meetings 
  • Provide support with coordinating the Professional Development Reference Group meetings including preparation and distribution of agendas, materials and correspondence
  • Provide support with implementing and delivering an eLearning program
  • Provide support with a major campaign for members including coordination of information sessions, guest speakers, collation of presentations and support materials 
The Candidate: 

With previous experience in Associations, Not for Profits or Government and Council bodies, you will have managed speaker engagement events and workshops, seminars or training events. You will have great knowledge of working with speakers and be looking for a new permanent role. 
  • Previous experience managing workshops, seminars and training events seen as a positive for this role 
  • Previous experience working with committees, speakers and stakeholders seen as a positive
  • Strong written, verbal and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Hard working and ambitious
