The Company:

The Association is a not for profit organisation based in Sydney CBD with a membership base right across Australia. This Association is a peak body in it's sector and represents it's members by lobbying the government, developing industry standards and providing events and training for their membership base. They are currently looking for an Events Coordinator to join their team in a permanent role. 

The Role:
The Events Coordinator role will be responsible for managing all the annual events of the Association from conferences, workshops and seminars through to dinners and board meetings. The role will involve the end to end planning of these events and will work with the internal team and also committees in regards to content and requirements for the events. 

Key responsibilities will include;
  • Assist in the coordination of a yearly calendar of events including a national conference 300-500 pax, workshop series, webinars, and professional development programs
  • Assist in the management of aspects related to delivering the annual conference including speakers, venue bookings, registrations, sponsorship and budgets and delivery 
  • Managing aspects in relation to the registration process for all events within the Events Program 
  • Assist in the management of aspects in relation to the sponsorship process for events within the program, including developing sponsorship packages and contracts and ensuring sponsorship deliverables on event
  • Managing venue bookings, accommodation, catering and logistics in relation to board meetings

  • Previous experience in an Association and with end-to-end events experience seen as a positive for this position
  • Experience in developing and managing professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow matters to their conclusion a must
  • Disciplined time management and project management skills are essential
