The Company:

A full service event and creative design agency with clients throughout Oceania, Asia, Africa, North America, South America and Europe. This agency specialises in the design and delivery of in person, hybrid and virtual business events, conference and exhibitions.  

The Role:

The Events Manager will report into the Event Operations Manager and be responsible for managing projects from start to finish including managing client communications and requirements. This role will involve working with the clients from their initial brief through to onsite delivery or projects. 

Key responsibilities will include;
  • DAy to day administration and delivery of events and campaigns 
  • Overseeing all necessary logistics for successful project delivery 
  • Manage the overall budget and schedules of assigned projects
  • Financial and supplier management of all project purchasing, spends and reporting 
  • Join and lead project planning calls (including outside of standard AU business hours if required) 
  • Imagine, create and execute creative solutions, product demonstration areas, theming, stage sets and technical production 
  • Travel to and work onsite at the meeting or event, oversee logistics required for success 
  • Production of planning documents including timelines, plans and budgets
  • Produce agendas, chair and record minutes and actions of the event planning meetings
  • Create detailed onsite schedules for all activities 
  • Brief designer and manage delivery of graphic design, online programming and digital items 
  • Set up websites, campaigns and registration pages 
  • Write content for websites, flyers, brochures and other print and media requirements
  • Identify, negotiate and book event venues (hotels, convention centres and unique venues) and exteral vendors (AV, decor, catering) 
  • Work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of services 
The Candidate: 

The ideal background would be someone currently working within an event agency that has either been a Senior Event Coordinator or Events Manager that has end to end event management experience. 
  • Experience as a Senior Events Coordinator or Events Manager within an Events Agency 
  • Exceptional client and supplier relationship management skills
  • Be highly motivated and results driven with exceptional organisational skills
  • Must love events and have a strong passion for events culture
  • Excellent communication, presentation and time management skills
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, innovative, inspiring and results driven
  • Be proactive and able to make decisions
  • Sound budget management experience 
  • Sound judgement and decision making
