The Company:

A wonderful events supplier based in Melbourne and looking for a new Account Manager to join their team permanently. The supplier have high end premium products that they hire out to venues and events right across Australia. They are well known for their modern and stylish equipment, their team has a great together approach as they have a team of 10 staff in the office. 

The Role:

The Account Manager role will work with clients and take in their briefs about what they are requiring and then ensure all orders are met and organised. This position reports into the Sales Manager and manages clients, handles preparing floor plans and performs site visits when required. 

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Liaise with clients on event details and requirements with outstanding customer service 
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry for quotes and bookings 
  • Offer event design concepts utilising existing & new product ranges 
  • Prepare floor plans as required 
  • Day to day management of allocated client portfolio 
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and other industry stakeholders 
  • Perform site visits and client meetings 
  • Host clients in the showroom 
  • Manage the showroom and keep current with new products and ensure the showroom is neat and tidy 
  • Increase client and job profitability through sales techniques and efficiency in administering quotes and bookings
  • Assist other team member with quoting and client relationship queries 
  • Assist other sales team members with mood boards, floor plans and 3D renders 
The Candidate: 

With previous experience working as an Account Coordinator, Sales Coordinator or in customer service at an Events Supplier, you will be looking for a wonderful team environment and a role that will see you handling mostly reactive sales. 
  • Previous events sales experience or account coordination
  • Previous experience in developing strong relationships
  • Strong written, verbal and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Hard working and ambitious
