The Company:

A boutique association based in Melbourne CBD who have a core group of members are looking for an Events Coordinator to join their team and grow the events division. Currently the Association runs a yearly conference and also an awards ceremonies annually and this role will manage these events from conception through to delivery. 
  
The Role:

The Events Coordinator reports into the Membership Manager role within the Association and will manage the Conference and Awards Ceremonies. You will have assistance from the wider Association team to deliver the events and the Membership Manager will assist with requirements as well. 

Key responsibilities will include;
  • Working with committees to organise content and speakers for events
  • Sourcing venues, suppliers and other logistical requirements
  • Managing registrations 
  • Setting up website for the conference including back end registration 
  • Handling submissions for the awards 
  • Organising judging panels 
  • Handling delegate enquiries
  • Booking suppliers for the event 
  • Handling contracts for venues and suppliers 
  • Budget Management and reporting 
  • Run Sheets and critical path creation 
  • Onsite coordination of events and conferences
The Candidate: 

With a key focus on attention to detail, the right candidate will have worked in either an Association as an Events Coordinator or within an Agency that works with Association or Institute clients previously. 
  • Registration experience is a must for this role with preferably major registration experience from either CVENT, EventsAIR, EventsPRO, IMIS or IVY 
  • Excellent communication, presentation and strategic time management skills 
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, innovative, inspiring and results driven
  • Sound judgment and decision making
  • Flexible and adaptable to work outside of core hours
