The Company:
This event supplier works on large scale outdoor events and manages equipment and large scale infrastructure for these events. They are looking for an Event Workforce Manager to join their growing team to manage the casual and contract event crew for events.
Position Terms:
- Full-time permanent role
- Working 5 days a week in the office
- Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 plus super
- Experience managing and scheduling event crews is essential for this role.
The Role:
The Event Workforce Manager will report into the Operations Manager and will be responsible for leading the recruitment, rostering, management, and welfare of event staff across a variety of exciting, large-scale events.
Key Responsibilities include;
- Lead end-to-end workforce planning for events, including recruitment, onboarding, rostering, and on-site management.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and clients to understand workforce requirements and deliver exceptional service.
- Maintain effective communication with crew, providing clear direction, training, and support pre-, during, and post-event.
- Manage shift allocations and adjustments in real-time, ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time.
- Implement welfare initiatives to support staff wellbeing and promote a positive work culture.
- Handle conflict resolution, incident management, and performance issues professionally and promptly.
- Track and report on staffing metrics, budget adherence, and post-event reviews.
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will have proven experience managing large casual and contract event workforces. Strong leadership and communication skills is essential for this role.
- Ability to lead and manage a diverse team.
- Strong administration skills.
- Excellent conflict resolution skills.
- High-level organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities under pressure.
- Tech-savvy with experience using workforce or rostering software
- Available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays when required.
- Knowledge of WHS best practices and relevant employment regulations.
